2013 Common Area BBQ & Fire Pit Project

The Board of Directors is considering installation of a commercial BBQ grill and Fire Pit in the pool area. In addition to enhancing the facilities available to you as a homeowner of Piazza Palermo, this will increase the value of your investment significantly! The Board has been advised by legal counsel that it has the authority to proceed with this project without membership approval; however, the Board wants feedback from you before going forward.

Below is a list of items considered by the Board for this project. Please take some time to review the information and answer our survey questions below.

* The pool gates will be moved from the current location and extended to enclose the benched areas where the BBQ grill and Fire Pit is to be installed.
* Hours of operation for the newly expanded pool area will remain the same (Sunday – Thursday 8 A.M. to 10 P.M., Friday & Saturday 8 A.M. to 11 P.M.)
* The BBQ grill and Fire Pit would be connected to the natural gas system and be FOB activated with an automatic shut off after 30 minutes. A camera will be installed overlooking the area.
* Rules for use of the BBQ grill and Fire Pit will be implemented after being circulated to the membership through the 30-day review process for rule changes. Rules will be strictly enforced and will be corroborated by surveillance.
* The project has been budgeted for in the 2013 operating budget.
